Well you seem to be the only loyal one about, and an anthro at that. Imagine that...
My words held pure sarcasm yet contained a small amount of praise as well. What had happened to the common wolf? What had happened to the wolves period! I began to wonder if a disease was spreading, hence the lowering number of canines about. If such were the case I had at least one female to repopulate the land, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet. With me previous words in mind however, I paused and turned to face Mystic. I had known her for maybe an hour - or however long we had been walking - but she seemed genuine and loyal. All the rest of the wolves I had come across seemed the same way, but where were they now? As if I didn't already know this answer I slowly observed our surroundings, panting anxiously due to the previous disturbance we had and my own thoughts going on in my head. Looking back at Mystic I smiled half-heartedly.
Do not take my next invitation lightly, Mystic. Most have to work hard and long through my ranks, but as you seem to be the only female that has stuck around and you seem admirable, you are no longer an Omega. Consider yourself a Follower, and perhaps one day Beta.

 She spoke not, only listened. She looked to her alpha with a small smile as if he could do no wrong to her. The alpha's words to her, meant simply that she was being acknowledged, and that's all she really wanted from anybody. Eyes seemed to glisten as the alpha spoke again.
