Pallid femmora stalked the river-side where a large prong seperated from the main river flow. Dark irises constantly adjusted their focus against the reflection of the sun on the newly fallen snow, concern evident upon the fae's expression as she feared losing sight of the large hare. Although Bella had enough time during her travels and experiences with the Loyalists to better understand her body and how to work it, she still insisted that she was not the most avid huntress out their. Her adoptive mother proclaimed that she would never have to hunt being the future Queen, but with all members having dispersed through out Darling with the continuous fighting, the Queen had no one to get food for her. Isabella preferred to sharpen her skills now, although she was happy that she had practiced hunting in previous months out of the nessecity to survive. She also hoped that the commotion and scent of blood may attract her old comrades, though she feared that - having been exposed to none other than The Royals - they would not be familiar with her. Bella's status was well displayed simply by how she carried herself and not all the anthro wolves were dumb enough to believe that the previous Royals were entirely without an heir. Her main concern was a male attempting to take authority next to her. As Queen, she was determined to lead the Loyalists without the assistance of a male - a change which she felt nessecary for the female gender. At the moment it didn't matter until her followers came from hiding.
Instinctively, Isabella suddenly crouched down as the hare lifted his almond shaped head to look around. Muscles quivered and the female resisted an excited whine from escaping her. Just as soon as the prey settled back down to feed, the Queen made her approach at a crawl; dragging her belly along the ground. As a human she could never imagine killing a cute and fluffy rabbity, but she could already taste the creature now and it was too late to turn back. Another pause and Bella launched herself at the rabbit. The jump was powerful yet she was relying more on her anterior to work in her favor. Fore paws hit the ground and she thrust herself forward once more, jaws widening as her prey made a sharp turn to leap away. Incisors sunk into its left back haunch and she quickly pinned it with her paws - having to many experiences with fierce kicks and bites from these rascals when she was a pup. Finally, the Queen landed a fierce grip on its throat and she stood up immediately, looking around for any spectators or unwated scavengers. There were a lot of foxes and falcons about and though they were of no thread to Bella, they wouldn't mind the opportunity to steal the rabbit.
Satisifed with her catch and that for the moment she was safe, Isabella trotted regally a distance from the original kill site to settle down and eat her meal. Auds remained cast erect upon skull apex, hardly fearful or nervous, but almost seeming to be waiting.
